Project Description
Location: Ghana
Year Completed: 2018- ongoing
The scope of work consisted of the mechanical and electrical erection of a combined cycle power plant generating a total of 192MW. The main mechanical parts of the power plant were the HRSG, GTG, STG, and ACC.
RCG did the erection of all the structural works, 5 modules (ranging from 70Ton to 210Ton), casing, HP and LP drums, casing insulation, and cladding, in addition, all HRSG’s piping work adding to 9000-inch diameter from different alloy steels (CS, SS, P91, P22, and P11)
RCG was responsible for the mechanical erection of the GTG along with its auxiliaries, alignment, GT’s piping, and tubing and GTG enclosure
RCG’s main duty was the mechanical erection and alignment of STG and its auxiliaries, piping, tubing and STG main enclosure. RCG’s piping work on the STG was mainly and not limited to the HP/LP, auxiliary, seal steam and lube oil lines
ACC’s mechanical scope consisted on the erection of the steel structure and mechanical components (such as fan bridges, A-frames, fan drives, tube bundles, and cleaning system), preassembly, erection and alignment of exhaust steam duct/steam distribution ducts, piping work and wind wall cladding.
